AI Usage Policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026 ยท Version 1.0
IMPORTANT: BY USING DIVORCE PORTAL, YOU ACCEPT THIS AI USAGE POLICY
Divorce Portal uses artificial intelligence to assist with document preparation. AI is not a substitute for a licensed attorney. You must read, understand, and accept this policy before using our services.
If you do not agree to this AI Usage Policy, you must not use the Platform.
1. Scope and Applicability
This AI Usage Policy ("Policy") governs your use of all artificial intelligence features within Divorce Portal, operated by Axiom AI LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Policy applies to all users, including divorcees, attorneys, and administrators.
This Policy supplements and is incorporated into our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Legal Disclaimer. In the event of a conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service, the more protective provision shall control.
By creating an account, accessing AI-powered features, or using any document generated by the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy.
2. Nature of AI Services
Divorce Portal uses generative artificial intelligence models (including OpenAI GPT-4o and Anthropic Claude) to assist with:
- Drafting divorce-related legal documents based on your inputs
- Performing child support, spousal support, and property division calculations
- Providing state-specific procedural information and filing guidance
- Organizing and formatting information into court-ready templates
- Answering questions about divorce procedures and requirements
- Generating negotiation proposals and settlement options
The AI acts solely as an automated scrivener and information tool. It does not exercise legal judgment, provide legal advice, or represent you in any capacity.
3. AI Limitations โ What You Must Understand
Generative AI is a probabilistic technology that produces outputs based on patterns in training data. You acknowledge and accept the following inherent limitations:
- Hallucinations: AI may generate confident statements that are factually incorrect, including citations to statutes, cases, or regulations that do not exist or have been repealed
- Accuracy not guaranteed: Outputs may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or content inapplicable to your jurisdiction
- No legal judgment: AI cannot assess the strategic merits of your case, predict judicial outcomes, or account for opposing party actions
- Calculation estimates only: All financial calculations (support, division, tax implications) are estimates based on publicly available formulas and your inputs โ they may not match official court calculations
- Jurisdiction limitations: AI may inadvertently apply legal principles from one state to another where they do not apply
- Training data cutoff: AI models have knowledge cutoff dates and may not reflect the most recent legislative changes, court rules, or local procedures
- Context limitations: AI cannot account for every unique circumstance, local judicial preferences, or nuances that a human attorney would recognize
- Third-party model dependency: We rely on third-party AI providers whose models may change, degrade, or become unavailable without notice
WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, LEGALLY SUFFICIENT, OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
4. Your Duty to Verify
YOU AGREE TO INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY ALL AI-GENERATED CONTENT โ including citations, statutes, calculations, legal information, document language, and procedural guidance โ WITH A QUALIFIED LICENSED ATTORNEY OR OFFICIAL GOVERNMENT SOURCES BEFORE:
- Filing any document with any court
- Signing any agreement
- Making any legal, financial, or custody decisions
- Sharing documents with opposing parties or their counsel
- Relying on any calculation for financial planning
- Taking any action that could affect your legal rights
Failure to independently verify AI-generated content before reliance constitutes a material breach of this Policy and the Terms of Service. You bear sole responsibility to review every line of generated output.
5. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Your use of AI features on Divorce Portal does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Axiom AI LLC, its employees, officers, contractors, or AI systems. Communications through the Platform are not protected by attorney-client privilege.
The AI does not represent you, cannot appear in court on your behalf, cannot sign pleadings, and cannot negotiate with opposing parties. You are acting pro se (representing yourself) in all legal matters related to your use of this Platform.
6. Prohibited Uses of AI Features
You agree not to use the AI features to:
- Generate content that is fraudulent, misleading, or intended to deceive any court, party, or institution
- Create documents for purposes of harassment, stalking, or endangering any person
- Produce content that violates any applicable law or regulation

- Use outputs in any jurisdiction where AI-generated legal documents are prohibited without disclosure
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit AI-generated outputs
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination without refund.
7. Data Use and AI Training
We take your privacy seriously. Regarding your data and AI:
- No public model training: Your personal case data, financial information, and documents are NOT used to train public-facing AI models
- Third-party providers: Your inputs are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for processing. These providers have their own data handling policies, which prohibit using API inputs for model training
- System improvement: We may use aggregated, de-identified metadata (not your personal data) to improve system performance and accuracy
- Logging: AI interactions may be logged for quality assurance, error detection, and service improvement. Logs are retained per our Privacy Policy
